Finish is pretty good, considering the price range.
Only major issues is the planks of wood supporting the mattress is not strong enough. If your body weight is on a single plank, it flexes and will give way. -

If wood and solid structure are your thing, then go for this product. I like it as it is not very high up. I placed cushion on the ladder for comfort when I step up or down. Perfect item for kids or adult or tenants.
